Toronto Sun calls for “knockout punch” on terrorism …

… but just who is supposed to punch who, and why?

Is the Toronto Sun advocating that CSIS should investigate mosques rather than individuals? If so, why?

What do they mean by land a knockout punch on the jihadist agenda? This doesn’t sound like the kind of talk that will moderate things. Instead, it makes vague threats and veiled accusations in manners which call upon the force of law to be used to intimidate certain groups. They should be more specific or say nothing, or some people will take it the wrong way.

I’m more inclined to prefer the perspective endorsed by the Globe and Mail, which suggests that It’s dangerous for democracy to try and punish crimes that haven’t yet been committed.
