1) You can’t just claim to feel threatened as an excuse to have the police come and drag off a roommate that you initiated a verbal disagreement with and persist in continuing with.
2) Filing a false report is a crime (as highlighted on the reporting section of the Toronto Police website), which is an indictable offense that can attract penalties as high as five years in prison: http://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/C-46/section-140.html.
If you had to guess about the probability of my continued residence at my present location being a) more than 1 year or b) less than 1 year … any geniuses out there want to have a guess?
(Note: If you have to wait for a second opinion from a friend about how threatening someone might be portrayed as in a recording, then probably you didn’t feel very threatened. Which is highly consistent with pre-meditated intent to file a false report.)
